EURO-AMERICAN PROJECT
The Euro-American Project is an international Project created to with the goal of involving the university community as a relevant institution in society to fight for the eradication of poverty through the commitment of all of the universities from Helsinki España University Network and for the dissemination and acknowledgement of human rights on a international level to achieve the eradication of poverty.

Its aim is to stimulate university cooperation so that students and teachers from 40 different universities exchange knowledge on these matters to, analyze and study the reality of the efforts to fight poverty, and develop a commitment to undertake actions and projects within their universities leading to the eradication of poverty.
In order to achieve this goal, HE has designed a unique work system that combines both virtual and on-site meetings.

Commemorating the:
- 60th ANNIVERSARY of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948-2008)
- 10th ANNIVERSARY of the Declaration of Human Responsibilities and Duties of Valencia (1998 – 2008)
OBJECTIVES:
- 1st PHASE 2008
1. Dissemination and comparative legal study of:
A. The Universal Application of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights towards poverty eradication
B. The Declaration of Human Responsibilities and Duties of Valencia
2. Facilitate the knowledge of human rights and duties and enhance the friendly relations between universities and companies of both Continents to set the foundations for peace building, according to the principles of the Global Compact
- 2nd PHASE 2009
1. Dissemination and comparative legal study of:
A. The Universal Application of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights towards poverty eradication by means of a new commitment from our University Network for actions and projects against poverty
B. The Creation of an Expert Group in Poverty Eradication (EGPE) in each University and the International University Net of the EGPE.
2. Submit the Declaration of Human Responsabilities and Duties of Valencia to the United Nations in USA 2009.
- Directed to all the universities that participated in the 1st phase of the Euro-American Project (International Meeting in Valencia 2008):
- Students in the last year of Law School, business or economy.
- Law Professors from the Depts. of International Law, Penal Law and Philosophy of Law
- Companies in the Global Compact
- The General Public
